Whether you’re taking the stage as a presenter, engaging as an online participant, or showcasing your research in the digital poster session, we want to ensure that you have all the information you need for a seamless experience.
Guidelines for Participants
Presenters – in person
Each presentation is given a 15 minute slot. We recommend 10-12 minutes for presentation delivery, leaving 3-5 minutes for questions. It is the responsibility of the session organizer to ensure that all presentations adhere to these designated time restrictions.
Upload your presentation
Presenters are asked to upload their presentations in PowerPoint or PDF format. The link to the upload area is on the automated registration email you will receive. Contact bhdc@gea.mpg.de if you require assistance. Please do not bring your laptop to the podium.
Please change your file name to your session number and name eg: 1-6_Julianne_Smith_PresentationTitle.ppt

Audio Visual
Audiovisual equipment will be set up in the presentation room (Villa Room V14) and an IT specialist will be present throughout the duration of the presentations. If you have any special audiovisual requirements, please discuss this with your session organiser in advance of the conference.
Room V14 is located on the second floor of the Villa building.
Presenters – online
Presenters who are joining the conference via Zoom will be asked to share their screens at the appropriate time. To learn more about how to optimally share your presentation on Zoom we have developed some step-by-step instructions for you.
You are not required to upload your presentations.
You will be automatically registered as a panelist and will receive a Zoom registration link from the BHDC committee prior to the beginning of the conference. Please aim to join the webinar 15 minutes prior to the session start time.
